Burl Top Occasional Table

This is a collectors’ piece. This is a Red Gum timber Burl featuring an Ancient Red Gum timber, hand turned handle.

Type of Timber:

Murray River Red Gum.

Type of Joinery:

The top is 40mm thick with a ‘Stepped Bullnosed’ edge. The feature in the burl top has been filled with a clear resin. The rail and the drawer have been hand curved using solid timber laminated together in a jig. The drawer front has been cut from the timber rail to allow for the grain to flow through.

Finish/Colour:
3 x coats clear lacquer (20% gloss). Hand buffered wax.
