Recycled Messmate Splayed Post Legs

Type of Timber:
Reclaimed Messmate. Floor joists and handing beams from demolished house.
Solid timber square post legs.
Timber been dried for over 100 years.

Type of Joinery:
Board in top have been joined using floating tenons. Table base constructed using Mortice and Tenon and Half Housed Joints.

Finish/Colour:
6 x coats hand applied Danish Oil followed by hand buffered bees wax.

Notes:
Very “light” in design concept. Looks great with Danish style chairs. This piece was designed and displayed in Furnitex 2011.
