Mitre Box Base Slab Top
The tree is estimated to be over 500 years old. Imagine what secrets it holds! This is an exceptionally wide slab and Christian has hand inlayed Fossilised timber (timber retrieved from quarries estimated to be 5000 – 50,000 years old), in both the base and the slab top.

(L) 3000mm x (W) 1300mm x (H) 760mm
Type of Timber:
Murray River Red Gum. (Top is one single piece).
Type of Joinery:
Mortice and tenon joints. Rectangular Mitre joint base secured with floating tenons.
Finish/Colour:
3 x coats clear lacquer (30% gloss). Hand buffered wax.
Notes:
Timber salvaged from a dead log that was timber was destined for firewood.
