This 900m round coffee table is made out of recycled stringybark and contains half housed and full tension joints. All features in the timber surface are filled with clear resin and finished with 3 coats of clear lacquer.
The timber, very old hanging beams, was retrieved from a demolished factory. The top of the table beautifully displays the end grain of the timber exhibiting the growth rings of each piece of wood. One of Melbourne’s finest wood turners has turned the shape.
This beautifully hand crafted American Oak timber coffee table was made along with a number of pieces for some clients who had recently moved into a new home.
